Martial artist. Survivor. Community builder. After 43 years of dedication, an unexpected accident changed everything — and gave Rick a new purpose.
My Story
From 1972 to 2015, martial arts wasn't just something I did — it was who I was. For 43 years, I dedicated myself to the discipline, the community, and the craft. It shaped my values, my character, and the way I approach everything in life.
Then, in 2015, everything changed. An accident took me off the mat and into a world of medical challenges I never anticipated. Eight years of recovery, setbacks, and perseverance followed. There were moments of doubt — but I never stopped fighting.
Today, I'm active again. I feel great. And yes — I do it all from a wheelchair. That doesn't slow me down. If anything, it's made me more determined. I owe my progress to the incredible people of the North Georgia Mountains, and most of all, to my son, who never stopped believing in me.
That journey taught me something powerful: the right people, the right products, and the right community can change your life. That's exactly what Secrets Community is built on.
Why I Built This
Secrets Community exists because I believe in doing business the right way — with honesty, fairness, and genuine care for the people I serve. Every product I feature is something I'd stand behind personally. Every recommendation comes from a place of real experience and real belief.
I'm not here to sell you something you don't need. I'm here to share the things that have made a real difference — in my life and in the lives of people I care about. From everyday essentials that make life a little easier, to special gifts that show the people you love just how much they mean to you.
This is my way of giving back. To the community that lifted me up. To the people who are still fighting their own battles. And to anyone who simply wants to live better, give more, and find products they can truly trust.
